While enjoying the comfort of self-hair removal at home, be sure to follow the tips below to ensure your skin stays smooth and beautiful after each treatment with E-Flash 4C.
Avoid waxing
You need to shave the areas you want to treat before using the E-Flash, but absolutely DO NOT wax or pluck before and between treatments. The reason for this is the IRPL technology needs to identify pigment to locate and target the hair follicle and waxing will result in removing the hair and pigment entirely. So, to maximise the effectiveness of the device, you are only required to shave or trim the hair you want to remove.
Do a patch test
When using E-Flash 4C properly, the risk of side effects, such as redness and irritation, is extremely reduced but can still exist. The best solution for this is to test the device on a small area of the skin before doing a full treatment. It is also recommended to test different intensity levels to find the one most suitable you. If there is no skin reaction on the tested area after 24 hours, you can safely apply the device to remove hair from other parts of your body.
Attention to skin types
Our hair removal device E-Flash 4C helps to get rid of unwanted hair by targeting the melanin in the hair. It’s important to understand that the amount of pigment in a person’s skin determines its colour and also the level of risk each person is exposed to when removing hair, regardless of its method. Therefore, hair removal devices based on pulsed light ARE NOT suitable for use on dark skin. When applied to dark skin there is a risk of side effects – including burns, scarring and permanent skin discoloration. E-Flash 4C has a built-in skin detector which checks the colour of the skin to be treated before each flash, making sure the energy delivered is only administered to suitable skin types.
Avoid sun exposure
DO NOT expose your treated areas to sunlight and any other artificial light sources, such as tanning booths or solariums, for at least two weeks before and two weeks after the hair removal treatment with E-Flash 4C. This is because both natural and artificial sunlight exposure increases the melanin in our skin, which can induce a high risk of reactions including burns or even scarring. We highly recommend you wear protective clothing and apply SPF 50 or higher sunblock to protect your skin.
