Commonly Asked Questions

E-Flash Hair removal IPL

You’ve asked. We’ve answered!

Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions we’ve had about our amazing E-Flash. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please send it in to us as there is probably someone else out there who is thinking the same thing as you!

Does home IPL hair removal actually work?

After a few uses, most of the treated area will have a reduced amount of body hair, and if you stick with it, eventually there will be little to no hair left. You can always do “top up” sessions if you notice a few stragglers coming through, but they're pretty much unnoticeable.

We have noticed that the permanent hair removal effect can generally be achieved within six to eight treatments, depending on your individual hair colour, hair structure and skin tone.

Does IPL remove hair permanently?

Although IPL treatments will permanently reduce the total number of body hairs, they will not result in a permanent removal of all hair. Depending on your skin tone, occasional “top up” sessions may be needed. This is perfectly normal.

Is using the E-Flash IPL device painful?

No, using the E-Flash is not painful, which is a huge benefit!

Unlike waxing, IPL hair removal is a simple and easy process that doesn’t result in any pain.

There is also no risk of cutting yourself with a razor or irritating your skin with chemicals that are found in depilatory creams. Sometimes IPL treatments can be a little bit uncomfortable, but they aren't painful. It’s recommended to shave the area before you start your laser treatments.

But isn’t IPL expensive?

Yes, it’s true that having IPL hair removal treatments in a salon can tend to be quite expensive, just like other hair removal options.

However, when you add up the costs of going to an actual salon vs. using your own high-quality, hand-held IPL device at home, the cost really does come down.

For example: it can easily cost AUD $279 to have one IPL hair removal session in a salon. This session can easily use up to 300+ flashes. Now, add this up over six to eight sessions and you are looking at about AUD $1,674+ to spend on hair removal for your legs.

The E-Flash costs AUD $299 and comes with 5,000 flashes. Plus, you can easily replace the “flash” cartridge for AUD $49 [which gives you another 5,000 flashes]! Your six sessions have cost you less than the AUD $299 it cost you to purchase the E-Flash!

Is the E-Flash IPL device easy to use?

Yes! The E-Flash is so simple to use, even if you have never used anything like this before! All you have to do is follow the simple instructions that come with your device. We have also provided easy to follow instructions and a helpful how-to video that can be found under the "How-To" menu.
